Mixed media art works consist of using a range of different media to achieve the final piece. I am passionate about using a range of media including pastels, ink, acrylic, watercolour, and graphite. This is a very spontaneous way of working and gives my work a textural, detailed look whilst keeping it expressive and abstract. The use of mixed media allows me to convey the character of the animal, or the atmosphere of the piece whether it be in the finer details of the fine liner, the bold expressive paint marks, or the soft blend of pastel, each media is used differently to convey an individual look therefore each piece of art is completely unique.
